Dear Little Petals Preschool, No words can describe how appreciative we are for not giving up on our anxiety stricken child and us as parents. Vishagan started on 1 Mar 2016 in N1 class and it was not easy getting him to adjust to preschool.I even made up my mind at one point to pull him out thinking that maybe he is just not ready, as my heart bled seeing him scream and cry while I left him at school and even at home when he kept crying about not wanting to go to school. Mr Yap, Mrs Li Lian and Principal Karen never failed to not only comfort Vishagan but also ME as an anxiety stricken parent! Thanks to the dedicated team, after over month now Vishagan has grown to enjoy school. Today he even threw me a cheeky smile as I dropped him off! He sings us all the new songs he has learnt and tells us about the activities that the school engages him with such enthusiasm. He is enjoying meals cooked by Aunty Cindy and is so fond of Aunty Jean who cares for him at the school. Thank you everyone once again for being such a integral part of our son's development! One of the main reason why I decided to enrol my son Reyes (4yrs) to Little Petals is due to the conducive learning environment. The space and facilities are pretty good and clean . Reyes being a kid was also greatly attracted by their indoor playground. Although this school is not renowned or so called a "Branded" school (yet). I feel comfortable leaving my boy with the school as I can see the warmth and sincerity of the teachers and staff . Reyes is with them for the past 4 months, I noticed he have learned quite a lot & really enjoying himself when I picked him up after school, always very joyful and smiling :). Just to share with you our experience since our daughter, Khairiah Umairah enrol to Little Petals Preschool. As the preschool is clean and have temperature check, it gives us the confidence to send our daughter to the pre school. Not forgetting the hard work and dedication of the teachers in educating Umairah. Now she is able to communicate with us in English and sometimes in Mandarin. She is also become independent and able to do things herself. She is not afraid and shy going to the school now unlike the 1st time she enrol. Picking the right school initially was a difficult decision, since it was the first time as parents sending our baby to school. So our primary searches for schools were based on a school that focused on the right communication and values in the system and we wanted also a school that was caring and warm to ensure confidence. We chose Little Petals as we believed in the practises of the school. Another important factor was the facilities.The classrooms were bright, well-structured and organized. The customized support that teachers provided to our daughter was evident and the school is truly committed and caring. Furthermore, we feel that the bilingual approach of the school benefits my child. The programs that school develops are truly interesting from the painting classes to the gym classes that are a wide range of interesting activities that my Daughter engages in. It has taught my child many good things and we as parents very much appreciate the difference that the school creates. To others it may seem not that big deal choosing a school for their little ones.. but for us it was.. for a family that is newly moved in a foreign place, one of the things that greatly considered was the school for our 4 year-old baby girl - Sarah Antonia.. It was a very specific and granted prayer.. we prayed for a newly opened school because we were afraid of many things like, language and culture adjustment, new people around, and new setup because its a whole day school.. we then had a very hard time for that matter. It wasn't easy for Sarah to adjust all those considerations, she cries every morning especially if she needs to be in school very early or be fetched very late.. and it was the hardest adjustment for her, when Ms. Lilian is not at the centre, but now, its so great and we're so blessed, she's adapting both the English and Chinese language, she practices speaking-writing- reading. She loves meeting new teachers - she knows everyone by name and she keeps on telling stories how her teachers take care of her especially her hair since her Dad can not manage to do it. She loves meeting new classmates, and she says sometimes she comforts if someone is crying, she's excited to go to school and it doesn"t matter now if she's the earliest in the morning or latest to be fetched in the afternoon.. For now, visitation of Ms. Lilian is just one of the most awaited and exciting moments for her.. Now, she always say, i love to go to school and i am excited today! As parents, we are indeed grateful to this newly found world for our baby, thankful for getting this comfort and confidence, and we want to say our gratitude to Little Petals Preschool.. you're playing a very important role for our family, for our little Sarah.. thank you! Matilda started her full day childcare with Little Petals in March 2016 and she had a smooth transition between half day (in another school) to full day schooling with Little Petals. Within the short frame of time, we could see a huge improvement in her linguistic ability to express herself. The school frequently updates us on her progress and activities in class. We were very particular about the school that we were enrolling our son in. Little Petals Preschool was the first school we had visited and it was our ultimate choice after attending a few other school tours. Little Petals Preschool has a very conducive environment for the kids. Each group has their own classrooms and not separated by low walls which we love. It has separate washroom for the boys and girls, a very nice Greenhouse media room and a relaxing dining area. It also has a big area for indoor playgound. You can see that they spare no effort in making this school a perfect environment. Mr and Mrs Yap, Principle Karen, and the teachers are very nice and caring to all the kids, not forgetting Aunty Jean and Aunty Cindy. We are thankfully that they are very patient and loving towards Cody especially that he is very active and unable to keep still at all. We are also glad that we get updates of how Cody is doing in school. Cody loves school now and always doesn't want to go home, a vast difference when he attended school 2 months ago. He loves his Music and Gym classes. He has learned alot from school and always mentions his classmates' names at home. The school that's a home away from home for kids Our little one (LO) started attending Little Petals Preschool (LPP) only a month ago. That said, we are already very impressed with what we have gathered from our LO. Prior to attending LPP, our LO was in higher-tier well-known childcare in a beautiful, sprawling country club. It was sad that beauty didn't last for us. Our LO started disliking going to school more and more as each day drew on. And because he was not quite verbal, we never knew what went on in school that caused him so much unhappiness. We decided to explore our neighbourhood for a potential school our LO may attend. We visited two preschools along the stretch of LPP. At first skeptical of LPP's lack of 'history', we were soon won over by Mr Yap (owner) and Principal Karen. They were sincere and genuinely caring towards our LO right from the day of the tour. With good synchronization, one would speak to us while the other one automatically tended to our LO. Honestly, no preschool has done that for us on tours. So, we forfeited our deposit in the previous school and jumped right into LPP. Working with our LO's speech therapist, LPP's staff met us a couple of times to understand the needs of our LO better. Again, no school has done that for us before. Our LO started new school and we were of course, nervous wrecks ourselves as we paced anxiously back home waiting for the school to call for any mishaps, meltdowns or inability to cope. But you know what? By Day 2, our LO happily walked into school on his own. No tears, no drama. In his previous school, he never stopped wailing whenever I sent him to school. These days, our LO enjoys going to school so much sometimes he forgets there's no school on weekends. He comes home telling us the names of the staff there and happily smiles to himself, with great contentment. We receive almost daily feedback from our LO's teacher, the preschool owner and even the aunties who care for him. He eagerly lunges forward to hug the aunties whenever he sees them in the mornings - another first that he's ever done to someone other than Daddy and Mommy. This school lives up to its tagline "where every child blossoms". Our LO has certainly blossomed under the loving care of the staff there. We are so glad we made the switch and we continue to pray that our LO and all the children there will blossom into individual with great characters and personalities. From Oliver's parents

My girl, Ada, was transferred to little petals from another childcare. When I first transferred Ada to little petals I was worried that she won't be able to integrate into the school and will miss her friends. However I was very surprised that it only took her two days to get over it. Furthermore, she looks forward to go to little petals everyday! In contrast, with her previous school, even though Ada was attending it for the last 1.5 years, it is a struggle to bring her to school. She would be crying everyday without fail and doesn't want to attend, even though she was no longer a new student. One of the biggest tangible change was that Ada didn't want to wear her uniform to the previous school. I had to resort to changing her clothes after she reached the school. But with little petals, the director, Mr Yap and his team took the effort to coax Ada, and she happily changed into her school uniform without any tantrums. And this happens on the fourth day when she switched to little petals! Another instance where I can really see little petals' care for the kids is that recently, Ada was stung by many mosquitoes during a school break. She had a rather severe reaction and the mosquitoes bites were all swollen. The teachers used the school's own antiseptic cream which were very effective to bring down the itching and swelling. I brought my own off the shelf medication but it just wasn't as effective. Then there are the other aspects of the school such as the environment. I had seen other schools prior to little petals but little petals environment is much better. All the classrooms are segregated by partitions and each classroom have an individual air purifier! The school is well maintained. They even have a playground castle, a play kitchen etc. Little Petals even have a contingency plan to route the kids though another door if there's any viral outbreaks in the school. It might be considered a small gesture but I'm very impressed because, so far, no other schools have planned this far! I really appreciate that little petals is willing to work hand in hand with parents to do the best for the kids.
